I have problems on start up, it says Fatal Error on Startup- Failed to initialize java

Well, I got matlab on a new computer ACER, windows 10 and i´m getting this error. I already downloaded and installed java, so I don´t know what to do.

You do not have to install Java to run Matlab. Please explain, when the error occurs: After the first installation? Did Matlab run before? Which Matlab version are you using? Did you try to re-install Matlab?

I did run matlab on another computer but in this one doesnt let me. Im using the R2018a. And yes i tried reinstalling matlab

I had the same problem, it's about matlab's code reading system, if you changed the folder directory of the application, undo it by default folder directory and your problem will be solved...
