Error using insertShape when I try to insert the ROI labels

I am getting the following error when I try to insert the ROI labels in loaded image (I)

Error using insertShape Expected POSITION to be one of these types:

cell

Error in insertShape>checkPosition (line 283) validateattributes(position,{'cell'}, {'nonempty', 'vector'}, ...

Error in insertShape>validateAndParseInputs (line 232) checkPosition(position);

Error in insertShape (line 101) validateAndParseInputs(I, shape, position, varargin{:});

How can I overcome this problem? Please guide me.

Try to use str2num or str2mat function if data is if string data type. Else just try to convert data to mat. I hope this will solve your issue.
