Splitting a column (and a numerical value in that column) into multiple columns

Hello, I have a following problem: I have multiple columns in a matrix. In all of the columns I have a numerical value, let's say 20. I need to (under some conditions) split a single column into 5 separate ones, and I need these 5 columns to carry a number which is the original 20 divided by the new number of columns - 5 (so at the end I will have, out of one column with a number 20 in it - five columns with a number 4 in them). Does anyone have an idea how could I do that? Thanks!

not yet - now I am trying to use reshape, like this:

for w=1:64;
    CountsTempp{nn,k} = reshape(CountsTemp{nn,k}(w,:), [], (length(labelTemp)*5));
end

But as I've learnt I can't use reshape to change the number of columns to a higher one (since the total number of elements should be divisible by the factor it is reshaped by and so fraction is not feasible).

I will give a try to mat2cell now, I guess!

One question: what if I want to divide a colum vector of let's say length 2094, into 5 vectors - how can I deal with fractions? I play with floor and ceil but it won't be optimal between trials.
