Upper and lowercase reversed?

Not sure how this happened, but my code types lowercase when the Caps Lock is on, and types uppercase when it's off. Any help to fix this?

Does it happen only inside MATLAB, or does it happen in other programs too?

Is this something that occasionally happens and can be fixed by restarting Matlab, or is it permanently stuck like this for you? I've had issues with Matlab reliably detecting the state of NumLock, etc before, and ended up having to resort to some extreme solutions that I hesitate to suggest and doubt would apply.
