Hello everybody, I've got a few power curves from pv-modules, wind turbines, engines and one power curve regarding the needed power. My question is: How can I find the best ratio of the producers to fit the needed power curve the best(like 20% pv-modules, 50% wind turbines and 30% engines). My aim is that the deviations between usage and generation over the whole year should be as small as possible. The engines are running on a constant rated power of 0.300 MW.
Attached you find the power curves (usage represents the whole needed power, while pv and wind are only containing the power output of a single turbine or module):

What sense does it make to do this on an average basis? One can only match demand and instantaneously available generation; p-v and wind can only produce what their inputs will allow at the time; just having a unit doesn't necessarily imply having generation.

Yes, but I need to conclude how many I have to use. Like 1000 PV-modules and 2 wind turbines or 2000 PV-modules and 1 wind turbine. I'm interested in which scenario the generated Power is more like the usage you know?

i think u may make a 3 nested loops in which each time you fix two variables and vary the 3 rd variable and each time u store the result in a table then u may plot the table and find the best fit
