Hi there, I have tried to use the yahoo functionality, however when I fetch for prices, it seems that its not the current price.

Is there any other way we can get live prices ("for free") into matlab?

Procedure to get Current Price (15 minutes delay, what yahoo gives you) here.

%Retrieving last price from Yahoo

Instruments={'SAN.MC'};

conn=yahoo;

Field='Last';

Price=fetch(conn,Instruments,Field);

You can make a loop to get several prices. Each time you execute the last line, price that you see in yahoo will send to matlab.
