shading gaps in multiple area plots

I am attempting to plot 6 different area plots on a figure and shade the areas based on a seperate calculation.
There are 101 data points which i have been plotting just using the area function. If there is only one data point to plot it creates a vertical line which looks like a gap in the data.
Is there a way to have it fill ahead to the next data point?
