Difference in performance with Simulink blocks and Matlab function block

Hello,

is there a difference in compilation speed when I use a Matlab Function Block instead of Simulink Math blocks? It seems to me that is the case. I use Matlab 2014b and have a long waiting time when compiling. How can I solve this problem?
