Plot appearance in GUI changes just by saving .fig-File in guide.

Hy there,
im working on a program for dimensioning parts made out of fibre-reinforced plastics at university. I did not write the complete code, a lot of other people before me put a lot of work in it. My job is implementing new functionalities to the existing code. The program uses a GUI which has been designed with the help of "guide" and works very well as long as it's not getting changed.

But for completing my job, i have do add some buttons to this GUI in order to run some pieces of code. When i open the .fig-file in "guide" i can manipulate everything and save the file. Afterwards the program runs smoothly and the executed code does its job. But with the moment of saving (even if i just move an existing button and change nothing else) the appearance of the visualization of fe-elements changes to transparent and the overlay doesn't work as supposed to any more.

I'm using Matlab r2017b, r2018a at university shows the same behaviour.
What might cause these Problems? Might the .fig-file be created in an older Matlab-Version which is not compatible? Might my preferences cause these effects?
I would be very thankful if somebody could help me solve this problem.
Best regards and thanks in advance, Andreas
