Matlab GUI Drops down menus and adding

Hi there, I am trying to create a GUI for class that lets a user select from different upgrades for separate categories. Let me expand, it will there will be a category (paint) the user can click the drop down menu and select from: red, blue, pink, yellow. My question is how can you apply separate pricing to each different color and have it add to the total at the bottom? As of now I have a push button to total everything with one click but I would like to have separate pricing for each item in the drop down menu. Here is my code so far....
%Due April 15th
function varargout = group3(varargin)
% GROUP3 MATLAB code for group3.fig
% GROUP3, by itself, creates a new GROUP3 or raises the existing
% singleton*.
%
% H = GROUP3 returns the handle to a new GROUP3 or the handle to
% the existing singleton*.
%
% GROUP3('CALLBACK',hObject,eventData,handles,...) calls the local
% function named CALLBACK in GROUP3.M with the given input arguments.
%
% GROUP3('Property','Value',...) creates a new GROUP3 or raises the
% existing singleton*. Starting from the left, property value pairs are
% applied to the GUI before group3_OpeningFcn gets called. An
% unrecognized property name or invalid value makes property application
% stop. All inputs are passed to group3_OpeningFcn via varargin.
%
% *See GUI Options on GUIDE's Tools menu. Choose "GUI allows only one
% instance to run (singleton)".
