Use fmincon k=1

I am trying to run a script that calls other script using fmincon, while running it keeps displaying " use fmincon k=1" then k=2 and so on that it reaches sometimes 400 and therefore take like 2 hours to run. does anyone have any idea what this message mean.

Without the scripts you refer to, there is little we can do. Have a read here and here. It will greatly improve your chances of getting an answer.
