Cannot run init by itself

I am running a script that contains

    init

I have

    Undefined function or variable

as error message. Is this because I have package that is not yet downloaded?

init is not part of basic MATLAB. I can find an init function in the System Identification Toolbox: do you have this toolbox installed, and a current license for it?
