Getting started with Stateflow

Hello,

I have just started using Stateflow and was wondering if someone can point me in the direction of some useful reading material/examples or can provide some introductory pointers. I have a Matlab function which does some mathematical processes from a defined set of inputs. It should then incrementally increase one input until it reaches a desired output. I was hoping to use Stateflow so I can see what state it is in (i.e. still increasing input or has reached desired output), however I haven't used this before so I am trying to work out a) how to incorporate this Matlab function and b) how to effectively create an 'if' loop. Any advice would be much appreciated.
