MATLAB 2013 Activation Problem

I recently installed MATLAB. When I tried to start up matlab (version 2013) again, it asked for an activation of the license. I navigated to the license file on the computer (since we usually keep that computer off of the internet) and it told me the license was accepted. However, Matlab did not launch, and every time I've tried to launch it again it has returned me to the activation question. How can I get it to activate?
