Can Mapping Toolbox function LOS2 work with a Digital Surface Model (DSM)?

Can someone familiar with Mapping Toolbox tell me how to make LOS2 work with a Digital Surface Model (DSM)? I am interested in making LOS2 work with a freely available, 1 arc-second resolution model, and have terrain, as well as obstacles to radio line of sight (LOS) like buildings and trees on top of terrain. The objective is to download a sample of the DSM to a local directory, then use Matlab LOS2 to check LOS, and check if it is working for terrain, buildings and trees.
