Is it possible to send a sentence as output from matlab as an excel add on so that it willl be displayed in excel?

I have just tried compiling a library .xla file with the code of generating different statements for different results after taking in three inputs. After I have added this add on into excel and entered the inputs from various cells in the sheet, the statement that i have coded in matlab is not appearing in excel. Is the add-on unable to do this? Thank you

When you say "displayed" do you mean that you wish to store the value into a cell, or do you mean that you want a window to pop up (like a prompt or warning message) ?
