convert matlab notebook to m files

is it possible to convert a matlab (word) notebook to a .m file?

I do not believe you can convert a MATLAB notebook file to a .m file in an automatic manner like a MUPAD notebook. You can do the vice versa.

Also, I believe that notebook is outdated and will be removed in a future version. I would suggest you to visit the link on live editor and have a look at it.
