MATLAB-Powerpoint : Create and Format Tables

Hello,

I've been trying to create and format a table in an existing PowerPoint presentation using matlab (not add a new slide). I found a link that explains all of this in detail [in 2017b]:

However, I use versions 2017a,2016b and 2015b.

Once the presentation is generated, I see the following error on trying to open it- "PowerPoint found a problem with the content in _.pptx. PowerPoint can attempt to repair the presentation. If you trust the source of this presentation, click Repair." Hitting Repair or Cancel modifies the presentation and makes the entire slide go blank. Could this be due to backward incompatibility?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
