How do i export variables from Edit Fields?

Hello there, I´m new to matlab and have to learn it while my study. I´ve got an exercise which i can´t solve by myself, I tried it in so many different ways, but none worked.

I built a GUI with a graph, one Button and three Edit Fields. I want to read out my Edit Fields and export the Data of these in my pushbutton function. How can i make this work? I read a lot about global variables, but somehow that did not worked for me - or I was doing something wrong
