The USB cable that I mean isn't connect with webcamera directly but it's a USB that attach with other USB to make it longer.

I'm doing this cause my webcamera USB is so short I want to make it longer

USB extension cables are uncommon. They are possible, but they are uncommon. It would be more common to have put in a USB hub or small USB switch to extend to reach. I would worry about whether you are getting a valid extension. Can you PC see the webcam?

Is this a PC or Mac? If PC, bring up Device Manager and see if there is a category called "Imaging Devices" with your webcam listed. If Windows doesn't even see it, then there is no chance MATLAB will. Are you using the webcam capabililty or the imaqtool app?
