No Variable Selected for PLOTS

I have two matrices whose data were retrieved from an Excel file: x is 721 by 1; y is 721 by 1. I selected these x and y for PLOTS option between HOME and APPS, but I got "No plots for selection" message. How can I plot a graph of these data points?
