import time into matrix and display as minutes after midnight

hi guys, I have imported an excel file into matlab. 10:00 is displayed as 0.416666666666667. I want to display this as minutes after midnight. ANy ideas?

It appears to be in fractions of a day, so multiply it by minutes in a day:
t = 0.416666666666667;
min_after_mn = t * 24*60;
min_after_mn =
600.0000
