i want to use newff function without using minmax function

i had huffmans codes of different images , i want to give complete huffman code to newff function .actually i want to perform steganalysis . i want to differentiate between a stego image and a clear images . therefore i extract huffman code from images and give that code to newff function but it takes only min and max values of huffman code.through these values my results did not came well , kindly please help me in performing this task. i shall be very gratefull. please solve me only newff function without using minmax function.thanks.,,
