Emailing Images

Is there a way to make it so the image appears in the body of the email instead of an attachment? My image is a created from a matlab figure.

Some email does this automatically, like Yahoo. I think Outlook can do that if you paste it into the body of the message. But you have to have a standard image format, like PNG, not a MATLAB .fig or .mat file.
