3D volume data

I have a cross section in the y,z-plane meshed with quadrilaterals. I would like to extrude this mesh along the x-axis. What would be the best way to go?

It can be done...but what's the final output? I mean what you are supposed to do with the final output? You have to show the screen shot/ data you have and what you expect.
