How to rotate a image without changing size of the image?

I am working on hand geometry based person authentication. i am not able to rotate image by some angle without changing dimensions of the image.....

On one hand I tend to suggest imrotate with the 'crop' flag.

On the other hand I'm still convinced, that automatic authentication is not helpful for the mankind. Human can recognize human, while all other systems for automartic identification fail reproducible.
