Error trying to launch Matlab on Ubuntu using terminal

Hello, I am able to launch Matlab using ./matlab in bin folder. But I want to be able to create an icon or launch it using terminal.
I am trying these command and I get error:
sudo /usr/local/MATLAB/bin/matlab -desktop
sudo /usr/local/MATLAB/bin/matlab matlab
the error is :
License checkout failed.
License Manager Error -9
This error may occur when:
-The hostid of this computer does not match the hostid in the license file.
-A Designated Computer installation is in use by another user.
If no other user is currently running MATLAB, you may need to activate.
Troubleshoot this issue by visiting:

In particular when you sudo, you are running as root, but you probably have an individual user license that is licensed against your user name, not against root.
