hi. I am trying to find a way to obtain the intersection point between a line and a triangle . I have the triangular data in three points (i.e. abc)the base (ab)located on x-axis . would use it for area overlap

Unless the line intersects only a corner, or is parallel and intersecting with a side, you should expect two intersections.

Are you given the vertices of the triangle and the coefficients of a line? Or how is the line given?
