Matlab Face recognition

I have a preview window of a live webcam stream. Does anyone have any information on how to do something similar to the toshiba face recognition. I want a circle where the user would align their face with and turn green when their face is in the right position, which then a video stream will be recorded, preferably without this circle showing in the video.

Does anyone have an information on how to do this? Or at least how to just draw the circle over the preview video stream?
