UDP Recieve Buffer Limitation

I'm trying to receive some data from FlightGear over UDP. The transmitted data contains around 900 variables but I only receive 593. Increasing the buffer size beyond 5560 does not allow the reception of any more variables, decreasing it limits the number further. Is this a limitation within Matlab or Windows that needs adjusting?
