How to increase simulation setup speed while using R2014b datadictionary?

Based on our experience in Volvo CE, the conclusion in R2014b is “usage of data dictionary needs more setup time due to the extra read/write operations”.This is a problem because datadictionary feature was really beneficial for us in handling data and we started using it as recommended by Mathworks. One solution is to preload the data dictionary to workspace.

Due to internal reasons it is not possible for us to upgrate Matlab version at the moment. Are there any other solutions? Are there any patches from Mathworks for R2014b??
