drawing irregular boundaries

Hi,

How can I draw objects with irregular boundaries?

I particularly need help with the following:

1. Representing a meandering river in MATLAB

2. Representing a triangle

3. Representing a dam (yes, a water dam) with its abrupt change in elevation.

I am solving fluid flow problems and so far i can only solve problems with regular boundaries like a rectangle or a square.
