How do I run a sequence analysis on whole chromosomes form GenBank

Hello Everyone, I am new to MathLab, and would like to use it to run sequence analysis on whole chromosomes obtained from the GenBank Database. As you know, the chromosome data are stored in flat files such as .fasta.
I want to load up to 10 DNA nucleotide strings in an array using a loop.
I am really confused, someone please guide me.
