How to combine 3 videos together

I have three video file in .mp4 format, I want them to be played back to back or one after another. Can some body tell me how to do it. I also want to add few picture at the start of the video.

If I were you, I would have used vlc player to merge videos....it is straight forward to merge videos in vlc.
