How to constrain the scale in fitgeotrans?

Hi
I am trying to use fitgeotrans to find the geometrical transformation between 2 images. I know that the images should have the same scale. So, is there a way that I can constrain the scale as computed by the fitgeotrans to be 1? Right now the fitgeotrans optimization returns 0.98. I can provide example if needed.
