Grid-tie

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to model a grid-tie inverter on Simulink. Can the "AC Voltage Source" block in the "Electrical Sources" section of the SimPowerSystems Library be considered as an active load? Or do I have to model an active load from scratch (using transistors, etc...)?

Hope my question is clear. Awaiting an answer...

The AC Voltage Source can be used to model the load. A relevant example in Simscape Electrical is:
