surface chart

i have a 200X200 matrix R filled with structure having 4 fields (a,b,c,d). i want to plot one of these attributes on a 3 D chart so I am using

surf((1:200),(1:200), R(:,:).d) or mesh((1:200),(1:200),R(:,:).d),

this doesn't seem to work - any suggestions on how to go about this?

Try using:

surf(1:200, 1:200, reshape([R.d], size(R))
