AUTOSAR Compiler Abstraction Settings for Local Variables

Hi,

I'm Generating AUTOSAR Compliant Code with Embedded coder. To enable compiler abstraction settings, I had selected the checkbox "Use AUTOSAR Compiler abstraction macros" in Code Generation Pane<<AUTOSAR Code Generation.(MATLAB Release Version used is R2015a)

Also I'm able to see in generated code the Compiler abstraction settings.But for the local variables,these settings are not applied.

Is it that as per AUTOSAR Standards, compiler Abstractions are not applicable to local variables or Auto Code from E-Coder applies these settings only to global data and functions?

If it is possible for applying these settings to local variables, Please suggest?

Local variables are already hidden from outside world, so it is not required to implement AUTOSAR Standards compiler Abstractions on local variables.
