Solve nonlinear equation with 2 symbolic paramters

I need to know if it's possible to solve a nonlinear system with 8 equations with 10 unknows by fixing two symbolic parameters (phi and x_p):

Generally speaking, Yes. However, in such cases the memory requirements and time involved are often not feasible. It depends upon the form of the nonlinear equations, and depends upon whether you want one answer or all solutions and on whether numeric is good enough or if you need the closed form solutions (if they even exist.)
