How and where can I purchase the MATLAB Compiler as a student?

I think the question is self-explanatory. I cannot find the price of the MATLAB Compiler.

None of MATLAB Compiler, MATLAB Coder, Simulink Coder, or HDL Coder are available for the purchase with either the MATLAB Student Version or the Home Version license. They are available only for the Professional or Academic licenses.

I noticed you've answered this question several times already. I should have done some research first -- sorry about that. Any idea why the compiler is not available for students? I suppose I'll go try and pester my IT department for a license.

Can this be updated somewhat? Because with the student version, I was able to purchase MATLAB Coder. But I wonder if now it's just Compiler that isn't available.

Indeed, at some point after my previous reply, Mathworks made more software available to students. Students can now also purchase MATLAB Coder and Simulink Coder -- probably because those are used for embedded projects. However, at least at the present time, students cannot purchase MATLAB Compiler, MATLAB Compiler SDK, or HDL Coder.

Hello,

I'm trying to work with the OPC Toolbox. Strangly, when i try to connect to a server i get an error which says:

"To use 'ctfroot', at least one of the following products must be both licensed and installed:

Matlab Compiler

Matlab Compiler SDK"

It seems that a command of the OPC toolbox uses 'ctfroot'. It is nowhere listed that an additional Matlab Compiler ist necessary to run the OPC Toolbox.

Since I am using Matlab 2016b, could an Update of Matlab solve the problem without getting the Matlab Compiler?
