outdated 'gshhs' command

The 'gshhs' command in Matlab 2011a is outdated because the version of the GSHHS database that is available online currently is of an entirely different format. Does Mathworks have any plans to update this function? If not are there any work arounds currently? If not can the online documentation at least be updated to indicate the issues with the latest available versions of the database?
