Create an arbitrary event function that updates a model variable on every time loop in Simbiology 5.3?

Hi, In the Simbiology toolbox I want to know how to update the value of a variable arbitrarily on every time step of a simulation. For example, I would like to simulate the effects of having one of my model components changing as a completely random function of time. For example, every time the solver updates I would like to have a new arbitrary value for one of my model's components- be it a random function of time or sinusoidal function or some other function I define.
