Integrating MATLAB or Simulink with Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Is there an “official” description of how to get 64 bit MATLAB and TFS (Team Foundation Server 2010, a Microsoft product) to play nice together?

If you are using R2014a and later, use the ‘TFS Version Control Integration’ to connect to TFS
  • Get the TFS Version Control Integration from the File Exchange here.
  1. Download the .zip file for this File Exchange submission.
  2. Unzip it to a location where you have write permission.
  3. Install the integration by double clicking the ‘TFS Version Control Integration.mlappinstall’ file in the Current Folder Browser
Please note that this is not officially supported by MathWorks and if you need assistance using the File Exchange submission contact the author directly.

If you are using R2013b and earlier, use the legacy MATLAB MSSCCI integration to connect to TFS.
  • You can follow the R2014a instructions in this external blog article .
  • For R2013b and earlier, consult the documentation for your version using the 'doc' command.

It would be helpful to have some documentation on getting started with Matlab and TFS, which included the big picture view (How will I develop code in Matlab and put it on TFS? What are the strengths and weaknesses of TFS for tracking Matlab code?)
