Hi there,
I have to model a complete pv system which will charge a battery, the battery is connected to an inverter and the inverter either provides power to house or sends it back to the grid.
Now there are various toolboxes such as SimPowerSystems and SimElectronics to model these components. Which one do you think I should use to model all of the above components so they are all compatible with each other?

Hello, Md.,
If the AC part of your system is three-phase and you can neglect thermal effects on the semiconductor devices and the battery, SimPowerSystems is probably your best choice. It offers off-the-shelf blocks for PV arrays, batteries, and the grid, in addition to a comprehensive list of semiconductor components for your DCDC converter and inverter.
Kind regards,
Javier

Hi, Md.,
You can still use SPS in that case. The main difference with SimElectronics is that the latter models all nonlinearities explicitly, whereas the former solves the system in a piecewise linear approximation.

Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to have a single PV array block With a maximum power point of 2 or 5 MW and how. Because i am trying to do so but the output values i measured are not correct... Thank you in advance

Hello
I have Matlab without the SimPowerSystem and SimElectronics on my library how do i add them because i want to start modelling my project but my Simulink Library does not have these options?
Kind Regards
