How do I tile both the workspace and history windows on the left?

How do I tile both the workspace and history windows on the left of the command window? I can only see one of them at a time by clicking on the little square icon on the far left. In previous verions I could see both or even more by moving them around. But I can presently see only one at a time and there seems to be no way to tile them on the left.

Click and drag the workspace and command history icons to the left panel so it looks something like this

Drag them closer together to display them both at once
