Can you use command prompt to input a nifti file?

I want to create a sort of GUI to ask user to input a file, I have found that input() only works with singel numbers.

Is there a function that allows you to input full images/ volumes?

See uigetfile to prompt for the file name.

After you have the file name, you would need to take appropriate importing steps, such as imread()

If you are dealing with volumes then you might consider instead using uigetdir together with medicalVolume
