Best Practices for Model Exchange FMU

I'm having no problem creating Model Exchange FMU, version 2.0, components with R2024b, where the goal is to us share stiff components and the system model with other companies. The problem is, the ME FMU makes the integrated model runs very, very slow. My real question is, are there ways to prepare the model before ME FMU export, or use the FMU, or ..., that can speed the sim up?

Just to preempt the question, This is not a job for a CS FMU, or s-function, or any other IP-hiding mechanism that requires the inclusion of delays in the system model. That would compromise the S&C analysis, and they tend to cause the integration model to crash much more frequently.
