converting .fig to .eps

For years it has been trivial to convert a .fig file to .eps. Just use 'SaveAs'.

But from yesterday, the resulting .eps file does not properly match the original .fig file. Also it is tiny in comparison.

Might this have something to do with the demise of Adobe on my iMac?

In order to find the precise cause and solution for the issue you are currently experiencing, I believe that the following additional information would be necessary. If you could provide the following information, it would enable contributors, including myself, to assist you more effectively:

1) Detailed description of the issue

- Precise information on MATLAB Release and OS would be also helpful. You can find this with the command "ver". (You can obfuscate your license number.)

2) Example files and data files that can reproduce the issue

3) Exact steps to reproduce the same problem using the files you provided

4) All error messages that appear when the issue occurs

My version seems to be R2020a Update 1 (9.8.0....)

I attach 3 screenshots. Screenshot 1 shows a Matlab Figure file I made last week and below it, how I try to save it as a .eps file.

Screenshot 2 shows the (unsatisfactory) result. Note that though the file has a .eps extension in the Finder folder, this changes to a .pdf extension when opened.

Screenshot 3 represents the same procedure but is based on a Matlab Fig file which I produced back in September. This transfer is satisfactory though still with the spurious .pdf extension.

So I conclude that now, the MAtlab Fig files I produce are somehow being corrupted given that the old ones I have still work on .eps export.

I also include the two Fig files. I call them 'Old' and 'New' for simplicity. For me, the Old works, but the New does not. I hope that is relatively clear. The system would not allow me to attach the .eps files.
