Hello,
I work on a double Monitor screen with a splitted editor. Is it possible to save a fullscreen layout where both screens are full in use and the editor split is directly in the middle of the two monitors? With the "Layout" menu it is not possible because two criterias are not fullfilled. The saved layout does not know about second monitor. And the splitted editor is alway changing its vertical middle border. I would like to switch easily between my 34" ultrawide screen at home and the two 24" monitors sidebyside in the office.
If its not possible, would it be a good improvement for future releases?

Hi Philipp,
I understand that you are looking for a way to save a full-screen layout where both screens are fully utilized, with the editor split directly in the middle of the two monitors. As of current update, MATLAB does not natively support the ability to save a layout across multiple monitors. When saving a layout, MATLAB only considers the layout of windows within the MATLAB application itself, not how the MATLAB window is arranged on your screen or across multiple screens. Also, the position of the split in the Editor is not remembered when you switch layouts hence one needs to manually achieve it.
A workaround could be to try third-party software applications that can remember window positions for all applications, not just MATLAB. These might be able to provide a solution.
Regarding your suggestion for an improvement in future MATLAB releases, it sounds like a good idea as it would lead to improved productivity and a seamless workflow. To provide feedback you can reach out to- https://in.mathworks.com/support/contact_us.html?s_tid=hp_ff_s_support
Hope it helps!
