txt file as input to matlab

Hi, Can I use a text file with large amount of data on it, as an input to MATLAB (in order to seek the suitable filter for my application)? Thanks, Idan

Generally speaking, Yes, if you have enough memory.
Some text files are harder to extract information from than others are.
